Taffy Apple Pie
What You Need
- 1 Keebler® Pretzel Ready Crust®
- 6 cups Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced
- 1 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp butter
- 4 oz. baking caramels
- 1 Tbsp water
- ¼ cup nut topping
How To Make It
- 1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
- 2. In a large mixing bowl, add apples, lemon juice, brown sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter. Mix until fully combined.
- 3. Add filling to pie and spread evenly.
- 4. Cover with foil and bake for 50 minutes and cool completely.
- 5. In a small pot, melt baking caramels and water on low heat until consistency is smooth.
- 6. Drizzle pie with caramel and top with nut topping. Allow caramel to set, about 5-10 minutes, and serve.
