Chai-Spiced Apple Crumble Pie
What You Need
- 1 10” Keebler® Ready Crust® Graham Cracker Pie Crust
- 2 21oz. cans apple pie filling
- 3 teaspoon ground cinnamon, divided
- 1½ teaspoon ground ginger, divided
- 1 teaspoon ground cardamom, divided
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/3 cup cold butter, diced
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
-
***Chef's Tip: The chai-spice profile can easily be swapped for another blend, if desired; try classic pumpkin spice in place of the cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom.
How To Make It
- 1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 2. In a large mixing bowl combine apple pie filling with 1½ teaspoon cinnamon, ¾ teaspoon ginger, and ½ teaspoon cardamom. Pour into graham crust and spread out into an even layer.
- 3. In a medium bowl add 1 ½ teaspoon cinnamon, ¾ teaspoon ginger, ½ teaspoon cardamom, flour, brown sugar, and rolled oats. Add butter and use pastry blender to combine until mixture resembles coarse sand. Pour over top of apple filling in an even layer.
- 4. Bake pie for 35 - 40 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool on wire rack for 1 hour.
- 5. Serve garnished with a dusting of powdered sugar.
